To gain weight
you must consume more calories than you use. To ensure that it is muscle that you build your diet must be constructed in such
a manner so that you consume the correct foods providing the right amounts of protein, carbohydrates and fats.
Protein
intake should be 1 1/2g per pound of bodyweight and carbohydrates 2-3g per pound of bodyweight. Start off with 2g of carbohydrates
per pound of bodyweight. If or when weight does not increase, simply increase your daily calories by an extra 300-400 calories,
in the form of complex carbohydrates and essential fatty acids.
Your bodyweight
will determine what you will need to consume based on the figures above. A person who weighs 200lbs would need to consume
approximately: Protein - 300g
Carbohydrates
- 400g Fats - 50g.
Here is an example
of how a diet would look for someone weighing 200lbs:
1 (Breakfast) 70g Oats, 2 pieces wholemeal
toast, 2 whole eggs and 1 scoop of PRO-PEPTIDE
Meals 2 & 3 100g of rice or 300g baked
potato with 150g cooked chicken / turkey / steak or fish and vegetables. Instead of
a solid meal you could have either:
1 sachet of PRO-MR with 2 scoops of
PRO-FUEL or
2 scoops of PRO-PEPTIDE with 3
scoops of PRO-FUEL or
5 scoops of PRO-MASS.
Pre-Workout 30 minutes before your workout,
consume 1 scoop of PRO-GF in 500ml of cold water
Meal 4 2 Scoops PRO-RECOVER
and 1 banana.
Meal 5 Same choices as meal 2 and 3.
Meal 6 2 scoops of PRO-PEPTIDE
or 1 sachet of PRO-MR with 50g mixed nuts or 3-5 capsules of PRO-LIPID
essential fatty acids.
